7/19 - Congratulations to Spain for winning their second WC title by defeating Argentina 1-0 in extra time.  Spain dominated from start to finish but could not crack the Argentina defense in regulation.  A second yellow to Enzo Fernandez late in regulation left an already offensively deficient Argentine side to just sit back and defend and hope for penalties, but Ferran Torres found the back of the net early in the second half of extra time to secure the victory before the shootout.

And that wraps up this four year journey.  Next for the website will be UEFA Nations League action starting in September, which will then progress to Euro28 qualifying.  We will also start learning how WC30 is going to look as the centennial celebration tournament could potentially be a 64 team tournament.  UEFA and CONCACAF have announced preliminary frameworks for their qualifying campaigns, but all that could change should the Finals be expanded yet again.  Stay here for all the news and updates, and be back in about 2 months time for the UEFA Nations League start.
